U.S. ARMY AIR CORP
DURING World War II.
HE WAS SEVEReLY INJURED PARACHUTING INTO HOLLAND AND later RESCUED AFTER HIS P51 MUSTANG fighter plane was shot down.
HIS MISSION WAS CALLED:
"OPERATION MARKET GARDEN", the largest airborne invasion in U.S. history to capture all german bridges to help end the war. THE CODE NAME "MARKET GARDEN" FOR THIS MISSION WAS USED SINCE IT WAS A COMMON NAME FOR ROAD SIDE GARDEN STANDS IN EUROPE WHICH CONNECTS TO OUR OWN GARDEN CENTER IN LAKE HOPATCONG TODAY
